Ok, I can understand cutting down on the posts on the In-Character section, though sometimes it's good to tell a story on the side. I kind of like that aspect, and would hate to see it go.
One thing you could do is just not have it count as much as a full flash on the War of the Worlds flash card. Plus, some of us are learning to hold back the really good stuff for the WotW.
What the in-character forum is good for, is building up the angles during the looooooong waits between shows. The more stuff we put out, the more we build up heat and/or interest in the angle, and thus it's that much better come show time.
Perhaps holding back a bit would be a better policy than just throwing everything out there and up front, like I did at the show before Black Hole Brew.
There's my two cents on it. I really don't want the in-character forum section to be shut down at any point.

I agree, unless we are going to bi or tri weekly, let things stay the same. I've had a great time writing the Evolving storyline and have some more planned.
I do agree that some things should be saved for WOTW, but that comes down to handlers knowing what to leave in and knowing what to use.
The in-character forums are fun and give me my DCWL fix while waiting for shows. I'd hate to stop doing my storylines on the boards.

As someone who doesn't use the IC board like you guys do...I concur.
Some people use it to further their character, and that should be encouraged. Some of us use it to goof around and claim (in character) that the Mangler is an argument against manly beyond my wildest expections marriage (God, I wish that thread hadn't been deleted). This, I think, should also be encouraged. Either way it's a great way to pass time between shows.
It just shouldnt count as much as WOTW, when everyone's supposed to be putting their best foot forward.

LoL. Yeah, I never realized that thread was deleted. WTF happened? I thought that whole thing was pretty funny.

Did I miss a The Mangler thread somewhere?

Oh, and I guess I should answer the question about the IC forum. I like to use it as a promo piece as opposed to the WotW as the storyline piece. I don't put nearly as much effort into the IC forum as I do to the WotW so I actually like it openly available.

Did I miss a The Mangler thread somewhere? It was in the previous incarnation of the DCWL. Holski was arguing with himself as six different characters to drive his post count up. I was bored at work, so we got into an IC argument about whatever was going on at the time. Eventually Holski mentioned that Mangler had married a ladder (again, can't quite remember the context) and I (as the conservative Spikes) declared that such a marriage, like manly beyond my wildest expections marriage, was the downfall of society yadda yadda yadda. Blew up into a huge thing. Lots of fun all around. And it wasn't "deleted" as such, just lost when there were problems with the board. Damn shame. Edit: So word filter is my enemy here, since I'm not using the term as an insult. I meant homosexual marriage. I'm leaving it as is there because, let's face it, "manly beyond my wildest expectations" is pretty funny.
