HEIGHT (feet & inches): 6'4"
WEIGHT (pounds/lbs): 240 lbs.
BIRTHDATE (MM-DD-YYYY): 5-26-1979
TITLES HELD:
DCWL Platinum Champion (title defunct)
DCWL Dangerous Champion - Inaugural champion, July 1, 2009 - July 22, 2009. (d. by B.A. Jive)
PERSONALITY (in lieu of face/heel):
[X] Selfish (breaks/abides by rules when beneficial to self) [Eddie Guerrero, Steve Austin in 2001]
GIMMICK IN ONE OR TWO SENTENCES: Son of an oil magnate, former DCWL competitor (and last Platinum Champion!) who was the head of security for former Commissioner Henry Spikes. Ford is returning to settle his score with Hayden/Alloy and expand his legacy.
REASON FOR CHARACTER BEING IN WRESTLING IN ONE OR TWO SENTENCES: Initially brought in so Spikes could curry political favor with his father, then fought to make the resulting embarrassment up to Spikes. Now fights for the reasons outlined above.
BRIEF BIOGRAPHY: (100-300 words): Derrick Ford is the son of Lyndon Ford, oil executive and former contributor to the family of former DCWL Commissioner Henry Spikes. When Spikes needed extra cash, he hired Ford's son in exchange for a political donation. Racist and utterly incompetent, Ford was pulled quickly from the roster to teach him humility.
The cold war between Spikes and Kyle Hayden forced Ford back into the limelight, this time as Henry's Head of Security. Ford was powerful as a competitor, capturing the old Platinum Championship before the demise of the DCWL.
After working under his father (and being bored to death), Derrick caught wind of Kyle Hayden reopening the DCWL. His brief taste of glory has whet his appetite, and there's still an unsettled score with one Kevin Alloy...

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE (build, hair, body art, etc. Link to a picture if it helps.): Ford stands at 6'4" and weighs 240 pounds of mostly muscle. He has short cut brown hair and blue eyes. No tatoos are visible.
RING ATTIRE (colors, textures, accessories, etc): To the ring he'll wear black pants and shoes. There are no other adornments.
SIGNIFICANT PERSONALITY STRENGTH(S):
- Chip on his shoulder - Ford hasn't forgotten the total embarrassment he was when he started out. He will take out his own disappointment on anyone and everyone to make it up to himself.
- Resourceful - Able to use anything around him to his advantage. The "no-interference" rules prevent some of his old tricks, but his ring awareness and creative deviousness can take advantage of any possible advantage.
- Determined - Unwilling to let anything, even the rules, get in his way.
SIGNIFICANT PERSONALITY WEAKNESS(ES) :
- One track mind: He's so focused on whatever he's doing that if he's targeting one person he can't be bothered by anything else. If in a match with someone that's not what he deems a "threat" to his goal, he can become a bit lazy in the ring and will rely more upon athleticism and opportunism.
- Good Ol Boy Philosophy: Ford was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, so he's used to having things given to him. Being the last DCWL Platinum Champion makes this feeling even worse. He'll get frustrated when things he feels he deserves aren't given to him.
- Snobbery/Elitism: Will tend to look down upon people and considers himself above those not of his social strata. Shows outward contempt for anyone who questions himself or praises Hayden/Alloy on the basis of their "lack of class."

INTRO FLASH:
(The words "Houston, Texas - September 2008" appear on the screen. We switch to video of a man in black pants and black boots, standing victorious over someone in the middle of a crowd of screaming, adoring fans. Longtime DCWL followers, even if they can't recognize the victor, will certainly notice that the man who lay defeated in the ring is Alexander Hawkins III. The winner holds the DCWL Platinum Title aloft, embraced by Mistress Dandelion. We hear the voice of the man in the footage, Derrick L. Ford, speaking in non-regional diction over the footage.)
FORD: It was my greatest victory. Yes, that was the night the DCWL Platinum Championship came to rest in my hands. More importantly, it was the night I vanquished my very first target. He was a man who needed to learn his place in the DCWL, and I made sure he found it beneath my boot. Most men would be happy to finish like that...a success for all time. An exceptional man, like myself, sees only the promise of bigger and better things.
(The footage fades, replaced by the sight of a tall, muscular man. The blue pinstriped suit, white shirt and red tie speak to sophistication, while the white stetson hat and bright jewelled ring belie a certain grandeur. The look on his face is hungry, eager, almost manic.)
FORD: The DCWL is open for business once again, by the man who destroyed it in the first place. At his side, the one who cost me a chance at the DCWL Championship all those months ago and who singlehandedly terrified my employer and my former manager. I don't forgive. I don't forget. This time, I don't need a manager. I don't need a security team. I will take my revenge against those who wronged me, then have the last laugh as THE dominant force of the NEW DCWL.
(A wide grin, not slimy like his former employer but sinister and much more manic.)
FORD: So begins the era of DERRICK...L...FORD!
(Fade out.)
