On his right shoulder blade is a tattoo of a skull on top of a thorny, bleeding rose.

The Lion Slam (Falling Spine Buster)
Right Cross from Hell- He sets the move up with an Irish Whip on his opponent, then runs the opposite direction to the ring ropes. He rebounds off the rope, leaps forward, rears his fist back, and nails his returning opponent with a savage Right Cross across the jawline, usually following up with a pin on his stunned opponent. He sometimes finishes matches with this move if he's lucky enough to hit that sweet spot on the jaw.
Finishing Moves:
Game Over-
Corella boots his opponent in the gut, straddles the back of their head, and applies a Double Underhook clutch. He then whips his victim onto one shoulder, leaps a short distance over the canvas, whips them forward, and slams his opponent head and shoulders first to the mat. He can either hold his victim in place for a pinfall, or release on the downward plunge to make for a more dramatic impact.
The Perfect Clutch-
With his opponent face down, Corella straddles his foe's back, squats down, applies a full nelson hold, and simply leans back. The move puts a ton of pressure on the lower back and hips of his opponent, while stretching the tendons of the neck as he presses down with his interlocked hands. It is impossible for the victim of this hold to get any form of leverage to escape the hold in this position. He will use this if he is either feeling particularly sadistic, or the Perfect Ending finisher is reversed, or somehow fails to finish his opponent off.
Strengths:
- Highly Skilled/Versatile in the Ring
- Powerful Physique
- Driven to Succeed, sometimes no matter the cost
- Studies his Opponents carefully for weaknesses before stepping into the ring.
Weaknesses:
- He is very proud, and still has a good portion of his ego intact.
- He Does not take the prospect of defeat well and may self destruct during a match that isn't going his way via a DQ.
- Years of frustration have taken their tole on Corella, giving him a temper that borders on the psychotic. He tries to control it, but sometimes it gets the better of him. One thing no one wants to do is make him angry, for while he may not be as coordinated, the adrenaline rush may actually give him an edge in the ring over his opponent.
Background:
Leon Corella is a name known for his controversial attitudes, and actions in the wrestling profession. He has often been referred to as something of a prima donna, in that he has an incredibly high view and opinion of himself, but so far, has not measured up to his own hype. He's had memorable stints in KAWF and IGA, but in either instance, he has not achieved anything noteworthy, not even a lower tier Championship belt, due to his incredibly big ego.
It's not to say that he lacks ability in the ring, far from it actually. He is a solid ring technician who can readily adapt on the fly, and is known for both giving and taking large amounts of punishment in the ring. Anyone who has ever had a match with Leon Corella would most certainly remember it for years to come as a grueling and demanding experience.
His views stim from two sources, his early wrestling career, and the expectations of his family's name and legacy, a legacy that dates back several centuries, to the very first wrestling competitions in ancient Greece.
His family has a proud tradition in the art of the Pankration, one of the oldest and most well developed wrestling styles on the face of the planet. For many generations, this knowledge has been passed down between fathers and sons, each following generation improving upon the foundation left by the prior. It is because of this, that Leon has such a high view of his skills and abilities. It isn't just his pride, but the pride of the entire Corella bloodline, that's at stake.
Early in his wrestling career, Corella learned the harsh truths about Professional Wrestling in the modern era. You could have all the wrestling ability in the world, but if you lacked character, and charisma, you often were relegated to a miserable experience of being forced to job to those who had it, or wrestling pointless matches that neither earned you prestige or place against unknowns. He would often put on amazing spectacles in the ring, only to have his ears offended by the negative reactions he recieved whenever he picked up a microphone or talked on camera. This fueled his drive, his desire, to prove them all wrong. In time, he developed a character that spit in the fan's faces, and did whatever he could to get a rise out of them.
In time, he even began to take a perverse sort of pleasure in egging the crowd on, and it had served him well. Unfortunately, he was still denied his chance at championship glory, which gradually made him bitter, and angry. Eventually he became obsessed with Gold, to the point of fanaticism. That obsession, would slowly begin to eat away at his moral principles and over time, this gave birth to an ideology that the ends justify the means.
He began to no longer care about hurting those who got in his way, or stomping on anyone's career if it meant his being made better for it. He was relentless in his pursuit of championship gold, but despite how hard he worked, or how brutal he was to his fellow competitors, he would always wind up the bridesmaid, but never the bride. It was in one such instance of this cycle of repetition, working for an indy promotion, that he finally decided to hang up his wrestling boots.
For a year and a half afterward, he pursued other interests, business ventures, and otherwise with his substantial personal fortune, and despite having many great successes, nothing would satisfy him. A deep depression overtook him as he tried to move on past wrestling. It was during a party at a local bar in his Hometown of Providence, Rhode Island, that his spirit would be rekindled. A wrestling fan approached him with the intention of picking a fight, as he was one of the few who despised Corella's public image and still remembered.
Normally, he wouldn't have bothered with the man, but old memories stirred and things quickly went to blows. It all came back to Corella in that instant. The rush of a good, solid fight against a determined foe. The fight turned into a barroom brawl, and Corella was among those arrested for the public disturbance. As he sat in a jail cell awaiting bond, he smiled a geniune smile for the first time in over a year.
Now, after a month of physical training and prep work, He has begun flooding various promotions with self-promoting videos in the hopes of being offered a contract so that he can step into the ring, and do what he loves. Leon Corella is back, but as what, no one knows for sure....
