In a shocking turn of events, Steve Greedy was named the new General Manager of Shootfire Pro Wrestling. Greedy was introduced in the position at their latest pay per view, Iconoclasm, as Scott Starring's reward for participating on the winning team in the Deathwish cage match.
This sudden turn of events has called General Manager Henry Spikes's status with the company into question. Management has, as of yet, not come out with an official statement. Because Spikes was not fired or otherwise dismissed from his position before the announcement took place.
Spikes's legal team is looking to block the appointment, citing that Starring was not officially a member of Team Shootfire (he was disguised as Spooky Doom) and conspired to defeat the SPW representatives within the confines of the barbed wire cage. Sources say their case does not look good at the moment.
The shockwaves from this announcement could be felt as far away as the DCWL, where Spikes was scheduled to appear at their "Plunderland" event. Henry was expected to speak in his official capacity as GM against the DCWL appearance of JDM Superstar. Needless to say, his murky employment status puts his authority to speak on the matter in jeopardy.
